'realstart' and 'lastpage'

Is current?:
Yes

General Description:

Realstart and lastpage files are the bookends of a study. Completion rates are computed by using these files to see where and study begins and ends. The realstart and lastpage files are specified in the 'Tasks' section of the manager file.

The realstart page should be the first "real" page of your study that participants see. Typically, this would be the first page following the consent form. Likewise, lastpage is the last "real" page of the study and typically precedes the debriefing page. In both cases, the presentation of these files should not vary between-subjects.

Inclusion of these files in your study is essential to computing accurate completion rates. If a study does not include these two files, it will be removed from the research pool until the owners of the study add a realstart and lastpage file.
